I'm deeply passionate about hearing your story and transmuting it into a beautiful work of story-telling art.

Writing is my first love, born out of a natural gift coupled with my own need to process my emotions alone as a child. The myth of the tortured writer is true because I care so deeply about how accurately the English language can embody a real human experience in all its layered complexity.

I love being somewhere in the middle, with the ability to resonate and bridge deep trenches of opinion on either side. One of the greatest gifts of my career was working for a major New York City newspaper with a strong ideology while interviewing people from every walk of life with vastly different perspectives.

My second love is photography, motion pictures, and documentary filmmaking. I love seeing a moment before it happens and positioning myself to capture it. A photograph, a story, or a film becomes part of our cultural history and will remain long after I am gone.

I believe that, more than anything else, story has the power to shape the future, ground the next generation, and preserve our humanity.
